[ there's so many ] Maybe next time. It's super hot over there because of the meteor and the power plant. We're going to Galdin Quay! It's a beach area with a pretty nice resort.

I feel like I should be taking notes on everything. I'd be totes lost without you, Prompom.

Galdin Quay sounds super nice, though! I've never been to a resort, you know? Some of the others at Mankai did for a training thing, but Frooch sent us to a legit deserted island instead.

A deserted island? Did you have to rough it with tents?

I'll probs forget a lot TBH.

Yeah, we did! And we had to forage for food, and we had this big metal bin for washing up, too. I felt sooooo bad for the director having to deal with that. Like, it's one thing to make us go through that, but she shouldn't have to when she's not even one of the actors, you know? Totes unfair.

We had to forward for food when we started out. We also were roughing it until we mad enough gil to be able to stay in something much nicer. It was pretty... intents. [ intense. get it ] That's the girl you. Uh. Liked?

You grew up in this world! It's probs not as hard for you, anyway!

Yeah, it wasn't even about making money, just saving money, even if it was only for a few days. Frooch is a total penny pincher!

[ the girl he liked...? it takes a second, but then he realizes what prompto means and nods. ]

She's the general director for the Mankai Company, so she helps run and arrange everything for our shows. She joins the training camps to help give us pointers on how to improve our acting skills, but we were mostly performing for a band of monkeys out there, so I don't know how much it actually helped anyone that time.

I did grow up here but used to be a total pleb when it came to knowing anything and everything. I'm a city boy and was you know... not a prince or someone who needed to know what was happening outside of the city walls.

Are all your trips like that? Bet it was still a lot of fun.

What, they didn't teach you geography in school? Or world history?

[ he's teasing. not everyone is a huge nerd like he was, after all. ]

No! The first training camp we did with Summer was at this cool boarding house the director found through some connections of hers. We did do a camping trip the second time, when we went with Spring, but we still had access to civilization and, most importantly, indoor plumbing.

And we were performing for humans that time instead of actual monkeys. [ so yeah. monkeys. ] Sumi kept talking to them, but hardly anyone could make sense of it, anyway.

They did, but it was all pretty outdated.

Ah, so it was just the one-time dealio for it being that bad. How many training camps do you guys go on?

Mm, I guess that makes sense. You did say they sort of barricaded the city, right?

It's not really that many, just when we're not up for the next show and need to keep our skills sharp. Aaaand whether we can find a good venue for it, and convince Frooch to let us go.

Yeah, King Regis and all of Lucis' previous kings would keep a barrier around the city for protection.

Sounds like work. I didn't really do the school trip thing. Or really any extracurriculars. So all of that is also pretty new to me. [ he was a loser ] What's been your favorite trip?

Yeah, so you didn't really have any reason to know about it before Noct. Makes total sense! Who knew you'd have to travel the whole world, anyway?

[ ...he laughs. ]

I never did extracurriculars in school, either - at least not before high school. Mankai's a pretty new experience for me all around. Buuuut if I had to pick a fave... [ taps chin. ] Proooobs the first one we did, with Summer! It wasn't perfect, but it helped us a lot, and not just with our acting! And we did fireworks!

Yeah, I never saw any of this for myself. Can't really imagine what I would be doing without him or if I didn't meet Pryna.

I remember that memory pretty well actually. You with your dark hair still. [ their glow ups ] You really like fireworks, huh? Did it help you all become closer?

No point in thinking about it now! Live for the moment, and all!

Sometimes I forget just how dark it was... [ he's been blond forever now. ] It really did help! That's why I like the fireworks, I think. They're fun, colorful, give you awesome pics... and because it's how Summer troupe really started to come together.

Even with trying to hide your roots under a hat? [ back...however long ago that was ] I think it's cute. I like the blond, too. You can probably pull any hair color, really.

Maybe next time we're hitting the beach we should bring those little sparklers.

You're biased, and that's different! I usually keep my roots touched up enough that they don't show at all. It's better for shows and stuff that way.

[ he brightens a bit at that suggestion, though! ]

We totally should! They're perfect for light writing! I can grab some for us next time, if you want.

That's right, but it's also true. Do you ever have to dye it for a part or wear a wig?

That would be great! Not really sure where to find some in the area.

You'd think we would, but nope! We mostly just work with what we've got and style it however we need for the part.

No worries. They're supes easy to find back home. I've got you covered!

I'll leave it all to you. I do have one thing I could show you when it's dark. I can shoot a bullet that'll make a burst of light above us.

As if I wouldn't look amazing no matter what they put me in.

Sounds lit! [ shoot him, actually. ] Is it a magic thing? Something to help with the daemons, right?

I bet you would. Do you have pictures of everything so far?

pfft ] It's a combo of a magic bullet thing. It keeps daemons away or weaken them if they are right there when I shoot it off.

'Course I do! Even if I didn't do all the designs, I still take selfies in costume for the 'Blam! I can show you when we're not on the road.

Sounds pretty useful for someone who ends up camping all the time.
