It's not that far, but it is your first time here. Might feel a lot further than it is.

West of here is where Titan was snoozing before he was woken up. He's another one of those Astrals. You can see his crater from here actually. See the spikes way in the distance?

shielding his eyes from the sun, he squints out to look. ] Yeah, I see them. A crater, though? These astrals of yours are really into wrecking things, aren't they?

I think that's partially from the meteor. He has a big meteor on his back that he caught a long, long time ago. [ they only teach vague-ish stories to the normies here ] It's gone now, broken up in pieces when he when he woke up. He uh also tried killing us.

A meteor?! And he tried to kill you, too?! [ HELLO?! ] I don't think I like these guys!

One crashed here a long, long time ago. He was holding it up until he was woken up. It was pretty terrifying at the time. We got split up and the ground kept shaking and crumbling under our feet! The Empire was there as well trying to capture the Titan before Noct got him.

No kidding! It sounds scary AF! I can't believe you guys have to deal with things like that!

Anything that big is kind of rare. We only had to deal twice now. Ramuh was a lot nicer. He was just located in the creepiest place ever!

[ but he's a bro ]

That's actually just northeast from here. Not that far... [ let's not tell the boyfriend how many creepy crypts are around here that are crawling with goblins ]

Is it like a haunted house, or what?

It's haunted but not really a house. It's a cave that goes pretty deep underground. There was a creepy snake daemon that grabbed me for a short time. Negative ten out of ten experience. Do not recommend.

Wait, it's really haunted?! [ WHAT? and a snake?! ] Okay, so we're going around that area, right?

A lot of those places are crawling with daemons. [ and daemon ghosts ] We're heading south, which is way way away from it. [ thankfully ] We will be passing by some haunt free but abandoned farms. Then we should have a bit of highway before we get to the coast!

I mean, I'm all for adventure, but maybe not the kind that involves daemons. South is good enough for me!

Why are all the farms this way abandoned, though? Is it because of Titan?

That's because of the daemons. Bright enough lights can usually keep them away, but it's dangerous without any working power out here. [ living in the middle of no where sucks ] A lot of folks out here have been moving over to Lestallum. [ or they have become monster chow. ]

Ohh. I didn't know there were that many of them. [ scawy. he is learning so much and not just about chocobos. ] Is Lestallum where we're going?

[ there's so many ] Maybe next time. It's super hot over there because of the meteor and the power plant. We're going to Galdin Quay! It's a beach area with a pretty nice resort.

I feel like I should be taking notes on everything. I'd be totes lost without you, Prompom.

Galdin Quay sounds super nice, though! I've never been to a resort, you know? Some of the others at Mankai did for a training thing, but Frooch sent us to a legit deserted island instead.

My friends and I did spend quite a while in this area. If you forget anything, hit me up. I don't mind repeating anything.

A deserted island? Did you have to rough it with tents?

I'll probs forget a lot TBH.

Yeah, we did! And we had to forage for food, and we had this big metal bin for washing up, too. I felt sooooo bad for the director having to deal with that. Like, it's one thing to make us go through that, but she shouldn't have to when she's not even one of the actors, you know? Totes unfair.

We had to forward for food when we started out. We also were roughing it until we mad enough gil to be able to stay in something much nicer. It was pretty... intents. [ intense. get it ] That's the girl you. Uh. Liked?

You grew up in this world! It's probs not as hard for you, anyway!

Yeah, it wasn't even about making money, just saving money, even if it was only for a few days. Frooch is a total penny pincher!

She's the general director for the Mankai Company, so she helps run and arrange everything for our shows. She joins the training camps to help give us pointers on how to improve our acting skills, but we were mostly performing for a band of monkeys out there, so I don't know how much it actually helped anyone that time.

I did grow up here but used to be a total pleb when it came to knowing anything and everything. I'm a city boy and was you know... not a prince or someone who needed to know what was happening outside of the city walls.

Are all your trips like that? Bet it was still a lot of fun.

What, they didn't teach you geography in school? Or world history?

[ he's teasing. not everyone is a huge nerd like he was, after all. ]

No! The first training camp we did with Summer was at this cool boarding house the director found through some connections of hers. We did do a camping trip the second time, when we went with Spring, but we still had access to civilization and, most importantly, indoor plumbing.

And we were performing for humans that time instead of actual monkeys. [ so yeah. monkeys. ] Sumi kept talking to them, but hardly anyone could make sense of it, anyway.
